Cybersecurity Compliance & Technical Controls Consultant - 2-Year Engagement

MENA Consultant is seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Compliance & Technical Controls Consultant for a 2-year remote engagement. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that cybersecurity controls are effectively implemented and aligned with regulatory requirements, security frameworks, and Minimum Baseline Security Standards (MBSS).

Key responsibilities

• Assess and validate the effectiveness of security controls across infrastructure, cloud, and applications against established standards.
• Conduct technical compliance reviews, including firewall rules, SIEM implementations, and system hardening for servers and databases.
• Manage compliance evidence, support internal and external audits, and track the remediation of identified security gaps.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and performance metrics such as KPIs and KRIs.
• Monitor regulatory updates to ensure ongoing compliance and communicate requirements to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity compliance and technical control assessments.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven expertise in reviewing secure configuration baselines, SSDLC requirements, and vulnerability assessment results.
• Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity controls.
