Cyber Security & SOC Lead

omniIT GmbH is seeking a passionate, hands-on Cyber Security & SOC Lead to take ownership of our Security Operations Center and shape the future of our cybersecurity services. This role is perfect for a leader who enjoys staying close to day-to-day operations, mentoring a technical team, and turning innovative ideas into practical security improvements across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a technical security team while remaining actively involved in daily security operations.
• Strengthen SOC automation and introduce new security capabilities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage security monitoring and incident response processes across internal and customer environments.
• Identify areas for improvement and independently drive initiatives to optimize security posture.

Requirements

• Practical experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or a SOC environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coordinate, or mentor a technical security team.
• Strong understanding of security principles across cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
• Hands-on approach to problem-solving and a proactive mindset toward process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to lead through trust and technical credibility.
