Cyber Security Intern

RegScale is a continuous controls monitoring platform that bridges security, risk, and compliance through innovative controls lifecycle management. We are looking for a motivated Cyber Security Intern to join our security team and gain hands-on experience in protecting production systems within a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the security operations team in monitoring, triaging, and responding to security alerts and events.
• Assist with vulnerability management tasks, including scanning, tracking, and coordinating remediation efforts.
• Support security compliance and audit activities, such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, and NIST 800-53, using the RegScale platform.
• Help evaluate and configure security tooling, including SIEM, endpoint protection, and cloud security posture management.
• Participate in threat and risk assessments while documenting findings under the guidance of senior security engineers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Familiarity with core security concepts such as networking, operating systems, encryption, or access control.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud security across platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
