Crypto Operations Associate

Alpaca is a global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure, providing institutional-grade APIs for stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrency. We are looking for a dedicated Crypto Operations Associate to join our fully remote team and support our mission of opening financial services to everyone on the planet.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and perform surveillance of daily customer activity to ensure platform integrity.
• Manage operational tasks including cryptocurrency trading executions, error corrections, and cash management.
• Assist with customer onboarding processes, including KYC verification and account approvals.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering program by investigating and reporting suspicious activity.
• Proactively improve internal workflows, policies, and operational tools.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in broker-dealer, financial services, or cryptocurrency operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Enthusiasm for the fintech industry and a desire to learn about cryptocurrency markets.
