Controller

Catch Creation is a global eCommerce company dedicated to building and managing innovative online brands. We are currently seeking a skilled Controller to join our team and lead a significant financial infrastructure upgrade for our leading pet-friendly home products brand, Muddy Mat.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition from cash basis to accrual accounting, including restating historical financials and rebuilding the chart of accounts.
• Manage the migration from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite, ensuring the system is configured correctly for our scale.
• Lead pre-audit book cleanup and manage the formal audit process in coordination with our external audit firm.
• Own the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Build and maintain a robust internal controls environment to safeguard company assets.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience transitioning a company from cash basis to accrual accounting.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including migration or implementation.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and experience working directly with external audit firms.
• CPA designation or local equivalent is strongly preferred.
