Micro1 is seeking a highly skilled Computational Biology Expert to join our team as a contractor. In this role, you will leverage your deep domain expertise to help train and refine next-generation AI systems, ensuring they learn and reason effectively within complex biological contexts.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate, annotate, and benchmark AI systems across real-world computational biology use cases.
- Assess the accuracy and performance of AI-generated outputs in genomics, transcriptomics, and systems biology.
- Critically review scientific workflows and pipelines to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide feedback on model performance based on biological context.
- Document findings with scientific rationale and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
- PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field, or equivalent research experience.
- Proven experience in data-driven biological research and computational analysis workflows.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, R, or Bash.
- Deep understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, structural biology, or systems biology.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
