Cloudera Solution Architect

CYCLAD is looking for an experienced Cloudera Solution Architect to join our team and lead the design and delivery of advanced data solutions within a major banking platform hosted on AWS. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data architecture, ensuring that our distributed systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with enterprise-wide data strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end data lake and distributed data solutions on Cloudera in AWS.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Define and promote best practices across data architecture, engineering, governance, and delivery processes.
• Support the delivery lead in breaking down solutions for iterative sprint-based development.
• Present and defend solution designs before the Architecture Review Board.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data and cloud-based projects with a proven track record as a Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in Cloudera CDH/CDP platforms, both on-premise and in the cloud.
• Strong technical proficiency with big data tools including Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, HBase, Airflow, and NiFi.
• Solid programming background in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Excellent command of English and the ability to lead complex data deliveries in multi-vendor environments.
