Cloudera Solution Architect (AWS)

Location: Remote

Duration: Until November 2026 with planned extension

For a global financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Cloudera Solution Architect to join a large-scale data transformation programme.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver data solutions for Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) and Operational Data Store (ODS) platforms on Cloudera in AWS.

• Create end-to-end architectures for distributed data platforms, data lakes, and analytics solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.

• Produce and review solution design documentation.

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

• Support Agile delivery teams throughout design, build, testing, and release phases.

• Provide architectural governance, technical leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data and cloud-based projects.

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale distributed data environments.

• Strong expertise with Cloudera CDP/CDH (Cloud and On-Prem).

• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, HBase, streaming technologies, and Change Data Capture (CDC).

• Strong ETL and data pipeline expertise using tools such as Airflow and NiFi.

• Hands-on programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala.

• Solid understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and modern engineering practices.

• Ability to lead complex data initiatives and work independently.

Nice to Have

• Financial Services / Banking experience.

• Experience working in large enterprise and multi-vendor environments.
