Cloud Security Engineer

First Connect Insurance Services is a digital marketplace providing independent insurance agents access to top US carriers. As a fully cloud-native organization, we are looking for our first dedicated Cloud Security Engineer to build and shape our security program from the ground up while working alongside our global DevOps and R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

• Secure and harden our AWS environment, including identity management, network boundaries, and encryption.
• Deploy and fine-tune cloud security platforms such as CNAPP and CSPM to ensure robust detection and alerting.
• Embed security automation into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, SCA, and container scanning.
• Develop strategies to secure AI adoption across the company, managing data flows and mitigating risks like prompt injection.
• Act as the primary technical reference for cloud security, providing guidance to R&D and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering and information security.
• Deep expertise in AWS production environments, Terraform, and Kubernetes or ECS.
• Proven ability to implement security tooling from scratch with a builder's mindset.
• Strong coding skills in Python, TypeScript, or Go, with experience building automated solutions.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Polish (C1 level).
