Cloud Security Engineer (Azure)

Jit Team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join a project within the SOC Enterprise initiative for a major European energy company. You will play a key role in enhancing security monitoring by onboarding new data sources and developing automation solutions to support threat detection and SOC operations.

Key responsibilities

• Onboarding new data sources and assets into Azure Data Explorer (ADX) to ensure effective security monitoring.
• Developing and maintaining Azure Logic Apps to automate security monitoring processes.
• Creating and optimizing KQL queries for log validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Developing automation tools using Python, APIs, and various integrations.
• Producing comprehensive technical documentation, onboarding guides, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Azure Data Explorer (ADX) and log aggregation solutions like Cribl.
• Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) and SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Python scripting, and REST API integrations.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, and general IT security principles.
• Ability to work with JSON data structures and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
