Clinical Director (Payer-Focused Consulting)

Advantage Point Solutions, part of The Lockwood Group, is a specialized pharmaceutical consulting agency that bridges the gap between pharmaceutical manufacturers and payers. We are seeking a Clinical Director to provide expert drug information, pharmacotherapy insights, and strategic guidance to support our clients in navigating the complex payer landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical value assessments to help clients understand how drugs are perceived and managed by payers.
• Conduct comprehensive research on payer behaviors, formulary management, and coverage rules for various therapeutic areas.
• Develop strategic documentation, including commercial viability assessments and competitive analyses for new business assets.
• Plan and moderate payer advisory boards to gather critical insights for client projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine value proposition presentations and support business development efforts.
• Stay current with evolving marketplace trends, clinical drug use, and regulatory changes in the Commercial and Medicare sectors.

Requirements

• PharmD degree or equivalent pharmacy qualification with advanced training.
• 5 to 10 years of managerial experience within a health plan or PBM, focusing on formulary development and coverage management.
• Deep understanding of the payer regulatory landscape, including Commercial and Medicare lines of business.
• Proven expertise in developing drug monographs, class reviews, and clinical policies for P&T committees.
• Strong facilitation skills for virtual and in-person advisory panels.
• Excellent communication and time management skills with a commitment to professional development.
