Calypso Developer

VISTULO is seeking an experienced Calypso Developer to join a team building and extending a major vendor platform for a top North American bank. You will work on one of the largest Calypso deployments globally, focusing on fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives trading systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Calypso APIs, workflows, engines, and scheduled tasks using Java.
• Integrate Calypso with external systems using MQ, Kafka, and Web services.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle-backed environments.
• Support applications in Linux/Unix environments using shell scripting.
• Maintain build and deployment processes using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Ansible.
• Fix defects, participate in code reviews, and ensure high code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience (V17+ preferred).
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong SQL and database skills, preferably with Oracle.
• Solid understanding of fixed income, FX, and interest rate derivatives.
• Experience supporting high-volume trading environments in capital markets.
• Ability to maintain a 3–4 hour daily overlap with US Eastern business hours.
• Residency in Poland or Romania.
