CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist (FreeCAD)

micro1 is seeking a skilled CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist to join a cutting-edge project focused on AI model training. You will leverage your engineering expertise to create and validate high-quality parametric CAD models, directly contributing to the development of next-generation AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and validate precise parametric CAD models using FreeCAD, ensuring geometric accuracy and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Develop a diverse library of mechanical parts and assemblies to support the creation of robust AI training datasets.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure models reflect real-world mechanical design standards.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of CAD data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Document modeling workflows and decisions to maintain transparency and reproducibility in the dataset creation process.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, or industrial engineering.
• Strong proficiency in FreeCAD or equivalent parametric CAD software.
• Deep understanding of parametric modeling, engineering best practices, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to apply GD&T for real-world manufacturing scenarios.
• Strong attention to detail and experience in preparing comprehensive engineering documentation.
