Business Systems Consultant-Product Development

Mutual of Omaha is seeking a dedicated Business Systems Consultant to join our team and drive innovation within our product development lifecycle. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that complex health insurance requirements are translated into effective, high-quality system solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers and analysts to gather requirements and support the implementation of new health insurance products.
• Translate business rules and eligibility criteria into system configurations using JSON, XML, and API technologies.
• Facilitate requirements reviews, testing activities, and production implementations to ensure successful business outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and the integration of AI-enabled technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate across departments to document solutions and support the adoption of new system enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into technical or operational solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess complex challenges.
• Experience with configuration concepts, including JSON, XML, APIs, and system integrations.
• Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms and modern business systems that support operational improvement.
