Business Systems Consultant

Mutual of Omaha is seeking a Business Systems Consultant to transform operational data into meaningful business insights. In this fully remote role, you will support vendor governance, drive business results through effective analysis, and collaborate across teams to solve complex challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery of business objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business needs related to vendor-supported systems, services, and processes to improve operational effectiveness.
• Create recurring and ad hoc reports using Excel and reporting tools to support operational performance, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
• Develop presentations and executive-ready materials that communicate business performance, trends, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Monitor vendor performance and contractual commitments while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and trend analysis.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience creating presentations and communicating findings to leadership through clear and compelling storytelling.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection.
