Business Analyst / Product Owner (technical background)

Addepto is a leading AI consulting and data engineering company that builds scalable, ROI-focused AI solutions for global enterprises. We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to join a senior delivery team working on the modernization of a business-critical platform in the aviation industry.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing solutions by reading Java/Spring code and Oracle schemas to reverse-engineer business rules and logic.
• Map current operational processes and produce As-Is documentation, including process maps and gap analysis.
• Design Target (To-Be) processes and define functional specifications for portals and operational tooling.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, including writing user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops and act as the primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Systems Analyst on complex modernization or integration projects.
• Strong ability to read code (Java/Spring) and write SQL to verify assumptions and profile data.
• Proficiency in process modeling (BPMN) and documenting business rules.
• Experience defining user journeys and functional specifications for internal tools.
• Excellent English communication skills (C1) and experience leading workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
