Blockchain Protocol Engineer

Intrepid Ventures is a blockchain venture studio seeking a skilled Blockchain Protocol Engineer to help design and build the next generation of digital infrastructures. You will work within a globally distributed, anti-disciplinary team to create scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems that reshape modern business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance blockchain systems using GoLang or C++.
• Develop smart contracts using Solidity or Serpent.
• Implement and optimize consensus methodologies such as PoS, DPoS, PoW, or Tendermint.
• Apply deep knowledge of cryptography, including hash functions, encryption, and digital signatures.
• Collaborate across the full web stack, including front-end frameworks, databases, and network layers.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in GoLang or C++ and experience with LLVM.
• Solid understanding of P2P networking and distributed systems architecture.
• Experience with database technologies like MongoDB, ReThinkDB, or Kafka.
• Excellent written communication skills in English and the ability to thrive in an asynchronous, remote environment.
• A self-starting mindset with a passion for building complex, impactful technologies from the ground up.
