BigCommerce Developer

Coalition Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote BigCommerce Developer to build, customize, optimize, and maintain high-performing eCommerce websites. This role is ideal for a developer with strong experience in BigCommerce Stencil, custom theme development, Storefront APIs, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and customizing eCommerce websites on the BigCommerce platform using the Stencil framework.
• Building custom BigCommerce widgets and reusable front-end components to improve site functionality.
• Developing interactive, dynamic, and data-driven features using BigCommerce’s Storefront GraphQL API.
• Optimizing websites for page speed, performance, SEO, and conversion rate optimization.
• Collaborating with team leads, project managers, and designers to align on project goals and deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in BigCommerce website development.
• Expert-level knowledge of the BigCommerce Stencil framework, Handlebars, and front matter.
• Proficiency with Storefront APIs, Stencil util-APIs, and JavaScript libraries.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, W3C standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
