Behaviour Support Line Officer

Dogs Trust is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Line Officer to serve as the primary point of contact for dog owners navigating behavioural and training challenges. In this role, you will leverage your extensive canine expertise to provide immediate, compassionate support and practical guidance to help owners and their dogs thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide telephone and web-chat support to dog owners, offering first-aid advice, preventative guidance, and directing them to relevant online resources.
• Deliver clear and practical solutions to help resolve behavioural issues efficiently during interactions.
• Maintain accurate and concise records of all calls and web-chat interactions within the company CRM system.
• Identify when more in-depth intervention is required and recommend appropriate training or behaviour support packages for further assessment by specialists.

Requirements

• Proven experience in providing phone-based behaviour advice regarding a wide variety of canine training and behavioural issues.
• Strong, evidence-based understanding of canine behaviour and training principles.
• Ability to quickly assess complex factors contributing to behavioural challenges and provide actionable guidance.
• Confidence in supporting others and excellent communication skills to effectively assist dog owners in need.
