Backup and Recovery Specialist (Commvault / L2 Operations)

We are currently looking for a Backup and Recovery Specialist to ensure our enterprise Commvault backup environment remains available, reliable, and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor backup infrastructure and services, investigate failed jobs, and perform corrective actions.
• Manage incidents through their full lifecycle, ensuring SLA targets are met and escalating issues when necessary.
• Execute data restore requests, validate integrity, and coordinate critical restores during major incidents.
• Configure and maintain backup clients, policies, schedules, and storage resources while onboarding new systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and drive permanent service improvements.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with Commvault.
• Strong understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware virtualization, and NetApp storage platforms.
• Good grasp of network fundamentals and cloud technologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage priorities in mission-critical environments.
