Backend Team Lead

CommIT is building the future of cybersecurity for the AI era and is seeking a Backend Team Lead to join our engineering team. This high-impact, hands-on leadership role involves driving technical execution, ensuring engineering excellence, and delivering scalable, high-quality products while mentoring team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team across multiple workstreams to ensure high-quality delivery during every sprint.
• Own sprint planning, including prioritization, capacity management, and goal alignment.
• Lead the technical design of scalable, reliable, and maintainable features.
• Maintain a hands-on approach by contributing to cloud-based development using Node.js and AWS.
• Engage directly with customers to address technical requirements, challenges, and integrations.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of hands-on software development experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical leadership or Team Lead role.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and AWS is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, and clean code principles.
• Proven ability to manage technical execution across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
