Backend Team Lead

OX Security is at the forefront of securing the AI-driven SDLC, unifying development and cloud context to eliminate critical risks. We are seeking a Backend Team Lead to join our engineering team, where you will play a pivotal role in leading technical execution, driving engineering excellence, and delivering scalable, high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team’s execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery and owning the sprint planning process.
• Act as a bridge between departments to remove blockers and manage cross-team dependencies effectively.
• Own the technical design of features, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and maintainable while participating in hands-on development and code reviews.
• Mentor team members to improve velocity and individual capabilities, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
• Engage in customer-facing technical sessions and collaborate with Product Managers to shape features from concept to production.
• Integrate AI tools and workflows into the development lifecycle to act as a force multiplier for the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on development experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and familiarity with AWS cloud environments.
• A strong AI-first mindset with a passion for leveraging AI to improve developer experience and system performance.
• Proven track record of managing project execution and delivering end-to-end features.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead global teams and explain complex technical decisions.
