Backend Software Engineer (Senior/Staff)

DualEntry is a rapidly growing AI startup revolutionizing the $220B ERP market. We are building an AI-native platform to automate manual accounting workflows, replacing legacy systems with modern, efficient technology.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution for backend systems and infrastructure.
• Build APIs, services, and real-time systems handling complex accounting logic.
• Collaborate with founders and product teams to turn complex workflows into secure, performant systems.
• Design, implement, and ship production-ready features at high speed.
• Manage data migrations, scaling challenges, and external integrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Proven track record in high-growth, high-ownership environments.
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, migrations, and schema design.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
• Strong API design and testing experience.
• Fluent English (C1+) with clear communication.
