Backend Software Engineer

4soft is a team of passionate technologists with over a decade of experience in building digital products, with a specialized focus on blockchain-based applications. We are currently looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our client, a fast-growing scale-up operating in the fiat-to-crypto payments sector, where you will take ownership of core components of their onramping platform.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and building robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborating closely with product teams to shape features from initial discovery through to final delivery.
• Owning the development lifecycle end-to-end, including scoping, building, shipping, and monitoring.
• Writing secure, well-tested, production-ready code for systems with high uptime requirements.
• Contributing to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong, production-proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a solid background in backend development.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• A security-conscious mindset regarding attack surfaces, data handling, and access management.
• Ability to translate technical constraints into business needs while collaborating effectively with product teams.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level or above and Polish at B2 level or above.
