Backend Python Developer AI-native

Novakid is on a mission to build the best online education platform for kids worldwide, currently serving over 90,000 students across 30 countries. We are looking for a senior backend developer to join our team and help build the AI-driven features that power our innovative language learning platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems and REST APIs using Python.
• Develop and integrate cutting-edge AI models and agentic tools into our platform.
• Orchestrate multi-step engineering tasks using AI coding agents and automated workflows.
• Maintain architectural integrity while leveraging AI-assisted development practices.
• Collaborate with the team to encode conventions and API patterns into shared configurations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Python Developer (Python 3.8+).
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Celery.
• Strong grasp of modern LLMs and experience building solutions that utilize them.
• Proficiency in AI-native engineering workflows using tools like Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
• Experience with microservice architecture and the AWS serverless stack.
• Fluency in English and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
