Backend Engineer

FAIRTIQ AG is looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to our high-availability microservices architecture. You will have the opportunity to work across our entire software stack, focusing on scalability, distributed persistence, and resilience to build high-quality systems that support our global expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust components of a highly available backend system using microservices.
• Write clean, testable, scalable, and efficient code while participating in agile development processes.
• Monitor production systems to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product experts to evolve our technical solutions.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in software design, large-scale system architecture, and algorithmic problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work independently within an agile team.
• Experience with Java and Python, as well as data stores like MongoDB and Redis.
