Backend Engineer (m/f/x)

GRID is looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to join our team and help build mission-critical, event-driven services. You will play a key role in shaping our technological landscape while working on impactful challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build greenfield mission-critical services and expand the reliability of existing ones.
• Participate in architectural discussions, providing feedback to coworkers and ensuring best practices.
• Work closely with product stakeholders to communicate progress and technical considerations effectively.
• Contribute to a culture of high-quality software development through code reviews and shared knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in backend development.
• Deep knowledge of a strongly typed language, preferably Kotlin or Go.
• Experience with API design (REST/GraphQL), microservice architecture, and container orchestration systems like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ambition to build robust systems using automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote team in the CET time zone.
