Backend Architect - Golang

Point Wild is dedicated to creating a comprehensive portfolio of industry-leading cybersecurity solutions to protect individuals in an increasingly digital world. We are seeking a hands-on Backend Architect to lead our backend team, where you will spend the majority of your time writing Golang code while setting the technical direction for our platform serving millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture of our backend platform to ensure it remains fast, reliable, and secure at scale.
• Design and build highly available distributed services in Golang, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead code reviews and champion clean architecture, testing discipline, and engineering best practices across the team.
• Partner with the SDK team to integrate client features into backend systems and deliver end-to-end functionality.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and product teams to drive technical growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 5 years specifically in Golang.
• Proven track record of designing and operating distributed systems at scale with a deep understanding of networking protocols like TCP, UDP, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with VPN protocols, tunneling, NAT traversal, and low-latency networking.
• Production experience with AWS, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and a strong Linux development background.
• Solid knowledge of cryptography, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
