Architect of Platform Engineering – AI Supercompute Infrastructure | Cloud & Eng

Deloitte Ireland is seeking an Architect of Platform Engineering to design and operate next-generation AI supercompute infrastructure for global enterprise and public sector clients. You will own the full stack, from bare metal and operating systems to cluster orchestration and observability, ensuring high-performance AI environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes and Slurm clusters at scale across diverse client environments.
• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure, including provisioning, upgrades, capacity planning, and decommissioning.
• Develop and evolve monitoring, alerting, and telemetry stacks to provide deep visibility into cluster health and GPU utilization.
• Lead technical engagements with enterprise clients to define and implement cutting-edge AI compute solutions.

Requirements

• Over 8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Proven expertise in Slurm or other HPC/AI workload scheduling systems.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals and high-speed networking architectures.
• Fluency in Infrastructure as Code practices and tools.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing complex technical projects.
