Applied AI Engineer (Poland)

BJAK is a leading insurance and financial services platform in Southeast Asia, dedicated to making financial products accessible and efficient for millions. We are currently seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join our global team and help us build next-generation AI-native systems for our financial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI agents, workflows, and automation tools that solve real customer, product, and operational challenges.
• Apply LLMs, retrieval systems, and guardrails to practical financial workflows including KYC, risk review, and document handling.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify high-impact opportunities and deploy solutions into production.
• Design systems that prioritize accuracy, latency, security, and user trust while scaling manual processes into reliable AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on engineering experience in building AI agents, LLM applications, or RAG systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Ability to ship working systems, test for quality, and iterate based on production performance.
• Strong judgment regarding the practical application of automation and a focus on delivering measurable user impact.
• Experience in fintech, banking, or operations automation is considered a significant advantage.
