Android Software Engineer

Our client is building an AI-native personal assistant designed to help users manage conversations, tasks, and everyday workflows with minimal prompting. As an Android Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the mobile experience, building a production Android application where AI is at the core of the product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin

• Integrate AI-powered features (chat, voice, vision) via backend APIs

• Design intuitive UX for AI interactions, including streaming responses and error handling

• Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and reliability

• Collaborate closely with backend and ML engineers to deliver production-ready features
  

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin

• Experience integrating AI/LLM, vision, or speech APIs into production applications

• Strong knowledge of Coroutines, Flow, REST/gRPC APIs, and asynchronous programming

• Experience optimizing performance, debugging, and shipping production Android applications

• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with evolving AI technologies
  

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with TensorFlow Lite, ML Kit, or on-device inference

• Published apps on the Google Play Store

• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
