Tether Operations Limited is seeking an AI Research Engineer to join our global team and drive innovation in the development of large-scale LLM and multi-modal systems. Key responsibilities
- Conduct foundational pre-training for LLMs and multi-modal models on large-scale distributed clusters with thousands of NVIDIA GPUs.
- Design and prototype innovative architectures, tokenizers, and cross-modal alignment layers to enhance model performance.
- Source, filter, and curate massive-scale datasets to establish robust pipelines for efficient model training.
- Execute experimental research, analyze results, and refine methodologies to optimize token efficiency and model intelligence.
- Investigate and resolve bottlenecks in computational performance and training stability during long-running experiments.
Requirements
- PhD or advanced degree in Computer Science, NLP, or Machine Learning with a strong track record in AI R&D and relevant publications.
- Proven hands-on experience with large-scale LLM or multi-modal pre-training on distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art transformer architectures and modifications for improved scalability.
- Strong expertise in PyTorch and Hugging Face libraries for model development and continual pre-training.
- Familiarity with distributed training frameworks and tools for large-scale hardware efficiency.
