Tether Operations Limited is a global leader in digital finance, pioneering innovative blockchain solutions and stablecoin technology. We are seeking an AI Research Engineer to join our AI model team and drive advancements in multi-modal reinforcement learning to build next-generation intelligent systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct research on reinforcement learning algorithms for multimodal models, including diffusion-based and autoregressive approaches.
  • Design and build scalable reinforcement learning infrastructure for distributed training across multimodal systems.
  • Develop reward modeling strategies to improve training stability and mitigate reward hacking.
  • Curate multimodal simulation environments and datasets to support robust training and benchmarking.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and CVPR.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; PhD in Machine Learning, NLP, or Computer Vision is preferred.
  • Proven experience running large-scale reinforcement learning experiments in multimodal and vision-centric systems.
  • Deep understanding of RL algorithms, optimization methods, and policy stability in high-dimensional environments.
  • Strong proficiency in PyTorch and deep learning frameworks with experience building end-to-end RL pipelines.
  • Strong track record of research publications in top-tier AI and machine learning conferences.
