AI Research Engineer (Multi-Modal & Vision) - 100% Remote Worldwide

Tether Operations Limited is seeking an AI Research Engineer to join our global team and drive innovation in the development and optimization of vision-language models. You will work on the full model development lifecycle, focusing on creating highly capable, scalable, and practical multimodal AI solutions that push the boundaries of current technology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end research and engineering on vision-language models, including training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Design and implement post-training pipelines such as supervised fine-tuning, knowledge distillation, and reinforcement learning from human feedback.
• Develop and maintain high-quality multimodal datasets through rigorous curation, filtering, and balancing.
• Drive model efficiency by applying compression and optimization techniques for resource-constrained environments.
• Build and scale training workflows across distributed GPU infrastructure to achieve state-of-the-art performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; MS or PhD preferred.
• Strong experience with multimodal post-training workflows and distributed training frameworks.
• Proven ability to build and improve vision-language models with measurable results on benchmarks.
• Demonstrated open-source contributions in multimodal AI via GitHub or HuggingFace.
• Track record of publications at top-tier AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or CVPR.
