AI Python Developer/ Lead

Apreel is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to take technical ownership of a production-grade, AI-powered mobile coaching platform for a US-based health-tech client. You will lead the architecture, audit existing agent flows, and ensure the stability and scalability of a complex system built on Python, LangGraph, and FastAPI.

Key responsibilities

• Audit the existing AI core, including agent flows, LangGraph state machines, and datastore usage to assess operational risks.
• Build and harden evaluation harnesses, regression suites, and safety tests for agent flows.
• Set the technical direction for the AI core and lead the design of new agent capabilities.
• Own the production health of the AI surface and mentor a growing team of engineers.
• Represent the AI core in cross-team architecture discussions and manage knowledge transfer from the client.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional Python experience with a focus on production-grade systems.
• Deep expertise in LangGraph, LangChain, and FastAPI, including async patterns and streaming.
• Strong background in managing Celery and Redis in production environments.
• Proven experience with multi-datastore operations and complex concurrency in Python.
• Expertise in agent design patterns, prompt engineering, and LLM observability at scale.
