AI Python Developer/ Lead

Apreel is seeking a Principal Python + LangGraph Engineer to take technical ownership of a production AI-powered mobile coaching platform for a US-based health-tech client. You will lead the audit of the existing AI core, define future architecture, and ensure the stability and scalability of complex agent-based systems.

Key responsibilities

• Audit the existing AI core, including agent flows, LangGraph state machines, and integration patterns.
• Produce comprehensive assessments of operational risks, failure modes, and token cost efficiency.
• Build and harden evaluation harnesses, regression suites, and safety tests for agent flows.
• Set the technical direction for the AI core and lead the design of new agent-based features.
• Own the production health of the AI surface and mentor a growing team of engineers.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional Python experience with a focus on production-grade systems.
• Deep expertise in LangGraph, including state graphs, checkpoints, and multi-agent supervision.
• Strong proficiency in FastAPI, Celery, and managing complex asynchronous concurrency.
• Extensive experience with OpenAI API at scale, including cost optimization and observability.
• Solid understanding of agent design patterns, prompt engineering, and testing disciplines.
