AI Product Engineer | REMOTE

Distru is the leading ERP platform for the cannabis industry, processing billions in annual sales and streamlining complex supply chain operations. We are seeking an AI Product Engineer to join our fully remote team and lead the development of an ambitious, agentic product designed to transform how businesses interact with their core operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build a multi-agent system capable of safely operating across core business tools like ERP, CRM, and analytics platforms.
• Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to connect our agentic harness to real-world business systems.
• Own production system concerns end-to-end, including reliability, observability, permissions, and secure workflow execution.
• Operate as both engineer and product owner by scoping problems, making architectural decisions, and driving execution with minimal oversight.
• Stay at the forefront of the AI ecosystem by integrating emerging agent frameworks and toolkits into our product roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong background in B2B SaaS applications.
• Proven hands-on experience building and deploying multi-agent harnesses and MCPs in production environments.
• Deep understanding of production system reliability, data security, and safe workflow execution.
• Proficiency in modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and LangGraph.
• Experience working in early-stage startup environments where you have successfully navigated ambiguity and unstructured processes.
