AI Engineering Manager

ExpoPlatform is the AI-powered events and 365 community platform used by the world’s leading conference and exhibition organizers. We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineering Manager who will lead our engineering team while actively contributing to code, architecture, and the implementation of AI-driven development workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Evolve our AI SDLC by implementing agent-assisted coding, automated testing, and release processes.
• Build reusable AI artifacts, including prompts, agent configurations, and templates for team-wide use.
• Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and AI-first development habits.
• Support the migration from a PHP monolith to microservices using AI for refactoring and test coverage.
• Measure engineering impact using data-driven metrics like DORA and cycle time to ensure efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams with a strong hands-on background.
• Proven experience designing and rolling out AI-assisted SDLC processes in a professional team environment.
• Deep, daily use of AI coding agents and a solid understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and security risks.
• Strong backend experience with PHP, TypeScript, or Node.js and modern architectural patterns like DDD and event-driven design.
• Excellent communication skills in English and experience managing stakeholders in an Agile environment.
