AI Engineer – Agentic Systems

PortBlueSky is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join a small, dedicated team building an internal analytical platform for a major multinational enterprise. You will play a key role in designing and rebuilding the production architecture, focusing on creating agentic systems that are observable, testable, and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic workflows for data preparation, analysis, and insight extraction.
• Own the orchestration of agents, tools, and data sources to ensure seamless interaction.
• Build robust observability by implementing effective logging, tracing, and monitoring for AI behaviors.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and regression tests to measure and maintain system performance.
• Collaborate with software and data engineers to integrate AI components into a maintainable, enterprise-grade product.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience building LLM-powered agentic systems.
• Practical knowledge of orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Google ADK.
• Deep understanding of agent state management, tool calling, and structured input/output handling.
• Experience with production AI concerns, including security, latency, cost management, and prompt injection prevention.
• Solid software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, and containerization.
• Professional fluency in English and EU residency with valid work authorization.
