AI CAD CAM IoT Engineer / Tinkerer CNC

We are seeking a unique CAD AI IoT Engineer who thrives at the intersection of software architecture and physical hardware to help us automate quoting, planning, and machine connectivity for the manufacturing industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines that feed our AI quoting and calculation engines.
• Reverse-engineer industrial protocols to extract telemetry and operational data from the shop floor.
• Prototype, test, and deploy creative software solutions that connect cloud architectures with physical CNC machinery.
• Integrate custom software with third-party manufacturing ecosystems, including ERP systems and cutting tool databases.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD/CAM environments and API integration for extracting feature data and metadata.
• Hands-on experience with industrial IoT connectivity and extracting data from CNC controllers like Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or C# for building scalable integrations and edge agents.
• Solid experience using Docker to containerize applications for deployment on industrial edge devices.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment focused on solving complex manufacturing challenges.
