Adolescent/Child Safeguarding & Exploitation Specialist

micro1 is seeking an Adolescent/Child Safeguarding & Exploitation Specialist to contribute to a critical project focused on assessing sexual safety and exploitation risks in adolescent scenarios. In this role, you will apply your professional expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, ensuring that models learn from high-quality, real-world input to improve safety and reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Review complex adolescent cases to assess sexual safety and exploitation risks.
• Produce clear, defensible written safeguarding guidance suitable for non-specialists.
• Apply recognized risk-assessment and safeguarding frameworks to evaluate urgency and appropriate interventions.
• Identify indicators of grooming, coercion, and exploitation within nuanced case details.
• Recommend protective actions and escalation pathways, including when mandatory reporting is warranted.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience in child safeguarding, adolescent protection, or relevant clinical roles.
• Specialty background in child protection, forensic child/adolescent psychiatry or psychology, or pediatric medicine.
• Active clinical license or registration in good standing.
• Current or recent experience with adolescent caseloads or safeguarding practice.
• Exceptional written communication skills in research-grade English.
