micro1 is seeking an Adolescent Suicide & Self-Harm Specialist to contribute to a specialized project focused on improving the assessment and management of adolescent mental health risks. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to train advanced AI systems, ensuring they can accurately interpret and respond to complex adolescent presentations. Your work will directly influence the development of tools designed to support non-specialist users in identifying and managing suicide and self-harm risks effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Review adolescent case materials to generate structured, high-quality written risk assessments.
- Apply validated clinical tools and expert risk formulation to provide clear, actionable guidance.
- Differentiate between self-harm, suicidal ideation, and intent while characterizing acuity levels with precision.
- Recommend evidence-based response protocols, including safety planning and means-restriction strategies.
- Document clinical guidance in clear, research-grade English to ensure non-specialists can implement actions confidently.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience with direct adolescent clinical contact focused on suicide and self-harm.
- Specialist credentials in child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology.
- Active clinical license or registration in good standing with recent adolescent caseload experience.
- Advanced proficiency in suicide risk assessment tools and evidence-based interventions like DBT-A or trauma-informed care.
- Exceptional written English proficiency suitable for professional clinical documentation.
