Administrator/SME Control-M

About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead Control-M SME to drive and optimize our advanced batch environment. You will take ownership of fine-tuning scheduler dependencies, supporting system decoupling, and leading continuous automation improvements using Control-M and JCL

Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduler & Calendar Management: End-to-end setup, configuration, and maintenance of the Control-M scheduler, system variables, and calendars.

• Dependency Fine-Tuning: Managing and optimizing complex workflow dependencies, specifically focusing on Third-Party job integration and decoupling processes.

• Batch Operations Ownership: Monitoring batch execution, implementing proactive repairs, executing manual triggers, and updating schedulers to ensure zero downtime.

• Incident Resolution: Conducting advanced root-cause error analysis and delivering high-tier troubleshooting and technical support.

• Process Enhancement: Identifying automation bottlenecks and implementing continuous improvements to batch flows.

Requirements (Must-Have):

• Control-M Expertise: 5+ years of proven hands-on experience covering scheduler/calendar maintenance, system/Control-M variables, dependency analysis, and a strong understanding of return codes.

• JCL: Solid proficiency in Job Control Language (JCL).

• Data Integration: Strong background in File Transfers, specifically using Connect:Direct.

• Technical Stack: Solid knowledge of SQL and strong Linux environment experience, including shell scripting.
