Abilene Christian University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to join our Precision Medicine program. This fully remote role involves supporting online graduate students by providing high-quality instruction, academic guidance, and mentorship within a Christian academic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide rich, timely, and constructive feedback on student assignments and discussions.
- Facilitate online classroom environments for groups of up to 29 students.
- Hold virtual office hours and remain available for one-on-one or group student meetings.
- Grade assignments within established timeframes and maintain accurate course records.
- Collaborate with lead faculty and program directors to ensure academic standards and course improvements.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy, biology, genetics, chemistry, medicine, bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Experience in discovery or use of companion diagnostics, biomarkers, NGS, or clinical laboratory settings.
- Strong proficiency in online learning platforms such as Canvas and standard office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, self-motivated approach.
