2D Designer

VRChat is a pioneering platform that empowers a global community to create and explore an endless collection of social VR experiences. We are currently seeking a talented 2D Designer to join our team on a contract basis to help craft high-impact visual assets that shape our digital presence and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design storefront thumbnails and bundle graphics that remain clear and visually appealing at small sizes.
• Create marketing assets including social media posts, blog headers, and static graphics for video content.
• Develop in-app banners for events and promotions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with the existing user interface.
• Produce in-world signage, posters, and textures to enhance the immersive quality of our virtual environments.
• Prepare and export assets according to specific platform requirements for Steam, Meta, and other distribution channels.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in 2D design, specifically marketing graphics and UI or storefront assets.
• Proven ability to design for various formats, including icons, thumbnails, and mobile-responsive layouts.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on maintaining tidy, layered source files and consistent naming conventions.
• Ability to work effectively within an established brand identity while bringing unique character to individual projects.
