👉 Senior Scala Developer

Xebia is looking for a Senior Scala Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of high-performance backend services. You will work on large-scale applications, ensuring their scalability and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and enhancing backend services using Scala.
• Optimizing the performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale applications.
• Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues in production systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Scala backend development.
• Strong experience building and maintaining scalable backend applications.
• Solid background in system performance tuning and optimization.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants to improve productivity and software quality.
• Strong understanding of backend engineering best practices and software design principles.
• Good command of English (min. B2).
